Embracing the idea of skincare and starting a routine.
Good skincare is not rocket science and here's why!
I'd like to begin by saying the idea of skincare and/or skincare routine is not boring, exhausting or a waste of time. Think of it as rather beneficial, therapeutic and informative.
Before you begin to brush off the thought of having your own customised skincare routine, ask your self why? And spend 60 seconds of your time with what you're going to be reading.
So why do you need it? Irrespective of your age, gender, sex or belief, irrespective of whether you have near-perfect skin to just a few bumps or marks, there are natural processes taking place below the surface of your skin that one can't see with the naked eye.
But sooner or later these changes are going to surface and before you know it, that's all you're going to seem to notice in the mirror. (Because let's be honest, we do care about our looks up to varying degrees)
Alrighty then, how long do I have to spare to have a "skincare routine"?
Honestly, anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour or more. Depending on what YOU choose.

Skincare for dummies:
And if you're feeling adventurous:
Skincare is not an overnight miracle, it takes time and commitment, but it's worth it.
- While picking out products, the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" holds good.
The ingredients list is what you look for. Those higher up on the list means the product has more concentration of the ingredient you're looking for. - Don't be fooled with brands that mention only "key ingredients" their lack of transparency should be suspicious.
- Be gentle with your facial skin as it is a lot more sensitive.
- What works for someone will not necessarily work for you too. Consult a dermatologist before using prescription-strength products.
- Always do a patch test beforehand and don't add too many new products at once, space them out over a few weeks time.

This is a really good primer for people like me who know about this stuff but only from the outside. I found the ingredients list particular interesting and useful. Thanks!
