My Summer Skincare Routine
It's hot, sweaty and sunny. While I prefer to wear as minimal clothing as possible, the same reflects in my skincare. Sticking to the essential ingredients and avoiding layering too many heavy products, below are my AM and PM routine that gets my skin through these hot summer months.
Morning:
Facewash- Neutrogena facial cleanser
Serum- Niamax D
Gel-based with 4% niacinamide and skin-soothing ingredients like panthenol.
Moisturiser- Episoft AC
Since its microencapsulated with SPF 30, while staying indoors this is sufficient sun protection.
Sunscreen- Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF 50
Night:
Facewash- Neutrogena facial cleanser
Serum- Klairs Vitamin drop
Moisturiser- Muji Moisturizing Milk
Simple and to the point, moisturises and locks in the hydration as it contains olive fruit oil.
Followed by Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% on acne-prone areas to prevent any breakouts.
It's only through trial and error do you really learn what suits your skin as it transitions from winter to summer months. As seasons change so do the needs of your skin. Irritated red skin are signs that you need to either add or remove certain steps to help you achieve that glazed doughnut glow. Ofcourse as always, drink your H2O because hydration is key.
